Messy Man

As we really begin to explore foods for Jake I am becoming increasingly resistant to brightly colored foods. They are harder to get out of clothes, and carpet! Jake however seems to like the messier food better!

With Spring finally here we have been going to the beach more frequently. We have a 1/2 tent we set up and it gives him shade. He seems to really like the beach. He LOVES trying to eat the sand, and likes the feeling of crawling in the sand. I cant wait to get my little beach bum in the water!

when life gives you a lemon...

What a fun past couple days. The weather is perfect, i am sitting outside at 7:30pm blogging, it has been warm, blue skies and perfect temperature. in fact it was 85 today. Sunshine makes me happy and seems to make the little man Happy also, he has been all smiles and giggles lately.

We had family flannel day, it was a rainy Monday and we were all home. I was actually wearing flannel also.

We had Gangi (G-ma Donna) and uncle Tommy come down for a visit last week. I think Jake really enjoyed the extra attention, he and Tommy were making each other laugh which was pretty funny. Jake also fell asleep on Uncle T.

Donna helped us organized our garage which was in desperate need of help! Now it looks like another room you can live in!

We also went to the beach, the water is still a little cold and it was a little windy that day so we didnt stay for too long. All in all we had a great visit.

Jake is all smiles....

He loves these puff snacks and I guess he was saving one for later.

He loves them so much he finds the ones he dropped and eats them later.

Jake started sucking his thumb at about 2-3 mo, then he started sucking the back of his hand, now he just does this Dr. Evil thing putting his pinky up by his mouth. he does it when he is tired, gets startled, if I tell him no in a harsh tone. It seems to be his security thing.

Please dont call CPS on this, I could not resist!

I want cookies

Wow, Jake is just moving right along, literally! He started out Army-crawling, now he does a hybrid crawl between the army and regular. He climbs on everything, but thinks Mom and Dad are the best to crawl over. He is pulling up easily and starting to move his way around the furniture. The other day he crawled into the kitchen so I figured-- what the heck lets give him a mixing bowl and and spoon and see what he does! I also thought I should get him ready to bake those delicious cookies PopPop makes! Too bad he cant eat them yet.

These were some cute pics I took outside. He thinks its really funny to take of his hat and to take of my visor. I think thats what he was doing.

Anyone that knows Jake knows he can EAT. He LOVES to eat. He gets so excited about his bottle or real food. This was a funny video, he would bounce and talk until you got the spoon right to his mouth then just go still so he could eat. then start bouncing again, what a silly boy!
