I LOVE SUMMER

I really should be doing other things right now, the house is a disaster, I have not worked out, there is laundry....but I just need to blog about my precious little boy who I am love so much.

HIs favorite thing right now is to play ball. He also said his first word which was "ball". He is sooooo my child!

He also says "uh-oh" I dont know if that counts as a word but its pretty funny when he drops something on purpose than says it!

He is very close to walking, he is a cruising fool. He might win a cruise race, he flies down the couch, practically running. He will stand alone for 15 seconds, probably longer if he wasnt always trying to get somewhere or do something. He will occasionally take one step to somewhere without realizing thats what he is doing.

He Loves the water. He has so much fun in the bay, loves crawling in the water and sand. He loves to play in the pool and splash. He is a water baby!

tri-mama

After 20mo of being a slacker I had my first triathlon in over 2 years scheduled. Unfortunately due to a foot injury my triathlon became a bi-athlon with just the swim and bike portion. I was pretty bummed about this but decided to make the best out of the situation since I had already been training and had already paid for the darn thing. I think it went fairly well, my swim was faster than anticipated and bike was just about what I thought. I hope to get my foot healed up to be able to complete another tri in September.

Jake is such a trooper. We woke him up at 5:30am and he did not complain one bit!

Jake was very curious about the swim cap

I love that he is pinching my cheek!

I am in this mob somewhere

Jake had this hilarious curly Q on the top of his head. With the curls on the side he looked like a mix of a clown and Bam-Bam. So funny. Kurt wanted to put a blue bow in his hair!

I am always being asked for "eating" videos because Jake Gobbles his food. We have found that he hordes finger food in his hand. He will grab as much as he can in each hand then crawl away and snack on his supply. Watch how many times he grabbed for the cheerios in the video. He also says "mmmmmm" when he likes something.

So much: part deux

Kurts Mom and sister came down for the weekend. We had a fun visit. WE went to the strawberry festival but did not take any pics because it was not that great and it was realllly HOT. Jake thought it was a fun game to give Gangi kisses while she blew zerberts at him

Look at my boys curls. His hair is touching his back now

There is a really cool NASA museum about 30 min away. Everything is interactive so Kurt and I had a great time. I think Jake enjoyed it also.

We went to the Aquarium today, Jake liked looking at fish. Katie-- remember last time we went and you were pregnant with Taylor, you had a sip of JT's coffee and it was soo hot and crowded you almost puked. Haha, its much nicer now!

We went to the park today. Jake Loves to climb UP the slide and has now discovered that he loves the swing.

LIttle man walking like a pro!

He LOVES the swing

Curls!

We had Kurts dad come visit a couple weekends ago. It was a nice visit and we went to an airshow called Warbirds Over the Beach. It features reconditioned WWI, WWII planes and re-enactments with real uniforms and gear. They also have pilots from WWII make the trip, we met 2 ACES that flew for Germany over the eastern front.

Hang tight all you blog followers, there is part two of this blog to come hopefully tomorrow!
